In 2003, I obtained my BA degree In English Studies in Warsaw.
In 2006, I obtained my MA in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster in London.
I worked for one year as a full-time in-house translator at one of London's translation agencies, and since 2008 I have worked as a freelancer in translation, proofreading, and editing for individual clients, companies and publisher houses in the following language pairs:



I would like to point out an important issue regarding Polish to English translations. You need to remember that not even the best translator is able to make a perfect translation into a language that is not his or her native tongue. It is just that we can intuitively spot the slightest mistakes or awkwardness in our native language even if we are not able to know why; we just know it is wrong. In the case of non-mother tongue translation, one can have perfect knowledge but this intuition will be lacking.
This is the reason why agencies in Western Europe assign translations only to native speakers of the target language. Unfortunately, Polish rates are low and every agency cannot afford employing a native English speaker.
Thanks to many years spent abroad, including studying at a university in England, I can guarantee that my English is natural and up-to-date. Moreover, I offer the option to have the translation checked by a native speaker. If your text is going to be published either on paper or in electronic form, please do make sure that the translation has been checked by a native speaker!
I have certainly found the greatest pleasure in translating travel guides for Bezdroża Publishing House. Thanks to my earlier work experience I translate texts in the areas of: business, marketing, health and safety, lifts assembly and construction, and catering and food.
