Volunteering
Volunteering work is a great way to get to know the local people, culture, country's problems and to learn or practice a foreign language. In addition, voluntary work can be satisfying in itself through helping those who really need it and bringing your input into local project. There is an abundance of NGOs. Many of them require a high fee, which about 60% is donated to the project and 40% goes to administration fees. Sometimes you need to ask where the money really goes and if an extensive administration is really necessary...
Here I list ONLY CHECKED AND TRUSTWORTHY PROJECTS recommended by my friends who participated and worked in these projects. • Peru, Arequipa: checked by myself! – I’ve been working there for a month, one-off administration fee of 60 USD Traveler not tourist . • Argentina: Argentina Exchange , those who are interested, please contact me for more info and contacts to my friend who works there. • Mexico: ACASAC , advice, training and health assistance as well as securing women’s right for indigenous women of Chiapas – I will contact you with my friend who works for this NGO. • USA, Florida: Heron Peacock Supported Living – care for mentally disabled. • Nepal: One of my friends has just ended his participation in this program and he recommends it - The Esther Benjamin Trust . • Asia, various countries: WLS international . • More programs in South America – when you place the cursor on the name of a project you will see more details and information, which are checked and recommended.
